Sports lovers and budding athletes will have a chance to hone their talents. Preparations have begun for the construction of a modern sports complex in the Ugada-Bada area under the Sadar Municipal Council, Ambala. The detailed project report (DPR) for this project, to be built at a cost of approximately ₹27.93 crore, has been prepared. Approximately 10 acres of land for the sports stadium is available under the Municipal Council’s jurisdiction.
Initially, plans were made to build a cowshed at this site, but later plans were made to convert it into a playground. According to department sources, the consultant appointed for the project has submitted his detailed report to the Municipal Council. This report is currently being closely examined by senior administration officials. After reviewing the technical aspects and budget provisions, it will be sent to the government for final approval.
